Newcastle linked to record-breaking Joelinton swoop
Newcastle United are reportedly negotiating to sign Hoffenheim's £54million-rated Brazilian forward Joelinton this summer.
Sport1 claims talks are underway with Newcastle interested in signing the striker for next season.
The Newcastle Chronicle understands that the Magpies' European scouts have checked out the 22-year-old during recent trips to Germany.
Joelinton has scored 10 times this season and is in demand elsewhere with RB Leipzig understood to be one of his suitors.
Reports in Germany have even suggested Joelinton could follow his current coach Julian Nagelsmann to Leipzig when he takes up the reins at the Red Bull Arena in the summer.
Sport1's report says Newcastle are prepared to smash their transfer record for the ex-Rapid Vienna star, having just broken the long-standing mark when signing Miguel Almiron from Atlanta United.
