Newcastle win race for MLS playmaker
Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron has reportedly agreed to join Newcastle when the winter window opens.
The Paraguay international has been linked with a number of clubs across the world of football after impressing in the MLS.
It’s understood that Newcastle have beaten off plenty of competition to agree a deal ahead of the January transfer window.
Almiron netted 13 goals and laid on 11 assists for the American outfit last term and he finished runner-up in the race for the MVP award.
The report states that Newcastle will likely take Almiron on-loan until the end of the Premier League campaign, before parting with £15million to sign him on a permanent basis.
