Perez considering Spanish switch
Ayoze Perez appears to have concluded that this summer is the right time to leave Newcastle and return to Spain.
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle from Tenerife in the summer of 2014 for a fee in the region of 3million euros.
He has been a regular in their ranks ever since but looks set to finally move on from St James' Park at the end of the campaign.
Perez has suggested that he is considering his future and feels the time is right to embark on a new challenge with a 'big team' in his homeland.
"I believe in cycles. There comes a moment where you consider things, there comes a time for a change and after five years, that time has probably come," Perez told El Chiringuito in Spain.
"To return to your country in a big team to enjoy the First Division would be something good for my career."
