Hasenhuttl getting best out of Redmond
Nathan Redmond says Ralph Hasenhuttl has already improved him in his short time in charge of Southampton.
The winger has been one of the stand-out performers since the Austrian arrived at St Mary's last month, scoring five goals in his last seven games.
The former Birmingham and Norwich man appears to have benefited from Hasenhuttl's approach and revealed how the new man in charge has "simplified the game" to try and get more out of the squad.
He said in the Daily Echo: "I’m taking it game-by-game and trying to deliver what the manager wants and work hard for my team at the same time. Everyone has bought into the ethos, and if I’m benefiting from that, I’m pretty sure everyone else is.
"He has simplified the game and made me realise that working hard for the team is just as important as taking six, seven, eight or nine touches in the wrong areas.
"I’ve tried to take everything he has said on board as I do with every manager, and if that’s enough for him then perfect."
Redmond will hope to maintain his impressive recent form when Saints host Crystal Palace next on January 30.
