Hasenhuttl refusing to rule out late deals
Southampton coach Ralph Hasenhuttl has revealed the club are looking to complete some late deals on transfer deadline day.
The Saints have yet to conclude any deals in January but players have left them in recent weeks. Steven Davis, Manolo Gabbiadini, Wesley Hoedt and Cedric Soares have all departed St Mary's on loan.
Southampton have been linked with Birmingham City's Che Adams and although it is late in the window, Hasenhuttl insists anything could still happen.
When asked if all their business was done, the Austrian told the Daily Echo: "No, not yet. On the last day there are always a few options that suddenly pop up and show us that it’s maybe a chance to get an interesting player.
"We are still busy and the last day is a day where everyone stops with the poker and the cards come on the table. It’s not about wasting time then and it can happen that we do something today."
