Swans deserve plaudits - Ayew

13th February 2018, 15:45 by Alex Jack

Swansea City's Andre Ayew feels his side deserve great credit as they build ahead for their next Premier League clash with Brighton.

Having lost only one of seven league games under new manager Carlos Carvalhal, the Swans have worked wonders in recent weeks and managed to pick up another valuable three points with a 1-0 win over Burnley at the weekend.

An encounter with the Seagulls is next up for Carvalhal's side and Ayew feels Swansea must keep the momentum going for the encounter on February 24.

He was quoted by Goal, saying: "We’re showing a lot of character and determination.

"We had a few chances in the first half, but we didn’t get nervous and kept playing our game. At the end of the day, we got the goal.

"It’s been a difficult period for us. We may have won but there are still a lot of games to go.

"So we just need to keep our momentum going as we’ve got a big game coming up against Brighton."
