Skipper - Spurs enjoying break
Tottenham skipper Hugo Lloris says the players are taking advantage of their warm-weather training camp being held in Barcelona.
As they are out of the FA Cup and it is an international break next weekend, Spurs do not have a game until they travel to Liverpool on Sunday, March 31.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino has decided to use the long break as an opportunity to put the players through their paces in warmer climes.
Having looked comfortable in third spot in the Premier League recently, Spurs have hit the buffers, with just one point from their last 12 to put their top-four hopes in jeopardy.
Lloris says the players must up their game if they want to turn their form around and get the season back on track.
Speaking to the Mirror, the Frenchman said: “It’s always good to have a mental break without competition, to spend time together and work properly as a team. Then we will come back to the competition even hungrier.
“These trips are good for the team and help create positive waves again. It’s about a balance and we will try to get the benefits of this week, both in the mind and in the body.”
