Spurs eye cut-price Grealish

13th June 2018, 17:39 by Aidan Perkins

Tottenham have reportedly tabled a £15million offer to cash-strapped Aston Villa for midfielder Jack Grealish.

Villa have announced they are in financial difficulty after they failed to secure promotion back up to the Premier League via the play-offs last month and may be forced to sell their best players over the summer.

Grealish is viewed as someone they could cash in on and it's thought the midlanders want at least £30million for the 22-year-old with plenty of clubs keeping a close eye on the situation.

Leicester, West Ham and Southampton have all been mentioned as possible suitors but Spurs have made the first move with reports suggesting they have tabled a £15million offer.

Villa are likely to reject that approach as they hold out for more, but Spurs will know the Championship club's financial situation could lead them to selling on the cheap and are likely to try and pursue a deal during the transfer window.
