Wanyama thrilled with Tottenham victory
Victor Wanyama has lavished praised on Tottenham Hotspur following Saturday's comfortable 4-0 home win over Huddersfield Town.
Spurs secured a crucial three points in their quest for a top-four finish after dispatching already-relegated Huddersfield, who have now lost 26 of their 34 Premier League games this season.
Kenya international Wanyama opened the scoring in the first half before forward Lucas Moura grabbed a brilliant hat-trick, making him just the fourth Brazilian to score a Premier League hat-trick.
That result has seen Tottenham climb to third in the table, overhauling Chelsea, and Wanyama was full of praise for his team-mates following the important victory.
Speaking to Match of the Day, he said: "I think today we started well and everyone was on to it and I'm glad we got the maximum points. It was important to get that fast goal to break them down, once we got that they were more open and we got our chances.
"I'm going to enjoy it, it's a special goal for me."
