Doucoure set to stay until the summer

23rd January 2019, 13:29 by Tom Hill

Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure will remain at the club until at least the end of the season, according to reports.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for the Hornets star for the last few months.

PSG are willing to pay £50million for his services but Watford are desperate to keep hold of one of their prize assets.

Doucoure has hinted that he wants to leave to play in the Champions League and claimed that the Parisians "had his heart" in an interview earlier this month.

However, Watford now believe the 26-year-old will remain at Vicarage Road until the summer.

A delayed exit will give the club time to find a replacement and keeps Doucoure amongst a Watford squad that has a chance of qualifying for Europe this season.
