Fortuna look to extend Lukebakio deal
Fortuna Dusseldorf are believed to be keen on extending Dodi Lukebakio's loan from Watford beyond the summer.
The 21-year-old joined the Bundesliga side last July after making just one appearance in England following a January 2018 move from Anderlecht.
Questions have been raised regarding his professionalism, most notably his timekeeping, and this has led to reported clashes in the dressing room.
However, his tally of 11 goals has impressed the Fortuna hierarchy and they are believed to be ready to speak to Watford about potentially keeping him for next term.
Much could depend on whether or not the Flingeraner remain in the Bundesliga as Lukebakio may want to play top-flight football.
With him under contract until 2022, Watford are under no pressure to sell and may favour another temporary deal rather than a permanent transfer.
The Hornets' hierarchy may also view the player's behaviour in Germany as potentially problematic to the harmony within Javi Gracia's squad and choose to let him go out on loan for another year.
