Hornets buzzing around Benito
Watford will watch Young Boys' Loris Benito when they play Manchester United on Tuesday, according to reports on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old is set to line up with the Swiss outfit when they face the Red Devils at Old Trafford on matchday five of the Champions League.
Gerardo Seoane's side cannot progress to the knockout stage of Europe's elite club competition as they have taken just one point from four games and sit at the foot of Group H.
However, it seems as though Benito has done enough to impress and the Hornets will have scouts at the Theatre of Dreams to run the rule over the former FC Zurich defender, according to The Sun.
The full-back is out of contract at the end of the campaign and it appears as though he will not be short of suitors, with Burnley also thought to be keen.
Javi Gracia can call on Jose Holebas and Stephen Ward at present to fill the left side of defence but both players are the wrong side of 30 and it may be time to plan for the future.
Whether or not a deal can be done in January only time will tell but it does seem as though Benito’s days at Stade de Suisse may be numbered.
