Hughes backs Hornets to deal with Christmas schedule
Will Hughes is confident Watford's squad can handle the rigours of the famously hectic Christmas period.
The Hornets' December schedule sees them play three games more than during any other month of the season and those eight matches could have a huge say on where they finish in the table.
Javi Gracia's side currently sit ninth in the standings ahead of Saturday's trip to Leicester.
Hughes says the players are steeling themselves for a tough period but is confident they have both the depth and quality to survive the busy festive period, especially with such hot competition for places.
"Every Christmas period is a big challenge and it makes and breaks some teams' seasons," he said. "We're ready for it, we've got a squad capable of competing in every game and we're confident going into it.
"That healthy competition, it makes everyone train that extra bit harder and it's good for us in the long run because you know that if you’re not performing to standards there's going to be someone else that's taking your place."
