Pereyra's agent happy with 'top club's' interest
Roberto Pereyra's agent doubts the forward's long-term future at Watford after he said he welcomes interest from "top clubs".
The Argentine has starred for the Hornets this season, scoring five goals from 12 games and his form has led to suggestions the likes of Chelsea and sides in Serie A are interested.
Pereyra enjoyed success with Juventus after coming through at Udinese, winning two league titles with the Old Lady, and his agent, Sergio Furlan, admits he will always be linked with a return to Italy.
His representative also says other clubs looking at Pereyra is a positive although he was keen to stress the 27-year-old remains happy and committed to the Hornets for now.
"The interest from top clubs is obviously pleasing, but right now 'Maxi' is only thinking about Watford," Furlan told Tuttomercatoweb. "He wants to keep doing well for his team, but at the same time it’s normal that every player wants to improve his professional condition.
"He missed Italy a fair bit at first. He arrived in Udine when he was 20. The Pozzo family watched him grow, so there’s esteem between both parties.
"He grew up in Serie A and won things at Juventus, so it’s obvious that he’s remained tied to Italy."
