Teenage Samba star on Hornets' radar
Teenage Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli is believed to be a target for Watford, amongst several other clubs, ahead of the summer.
The Hornets have been keeping tabs on the highly-rated 17-year-old, who currently plies his trade with the Brazilian State League outfit Ituano.
Martinelli has impressed since breaking into the first team last year, with clubs across his homeland and in Europe all believed to be vying for his signature.
In addition to the Hornets, Premier League rivals Arsenal and Crystal Palace have been mentioned as potential suitors and all three clubs would no doubt be capable of outbidding any other clubs if it came down to an auction for the youngster.
Reports in Brazil have suggested that Arsenal have started holding talks about Martinelli, but the player might feel his chances of breaking into first-team football in England would be better at somewhere like Vicarage Road.
