Teenage star swaps Hammers for Hornets

10th August 2018, 09:51 by Simon Barlow

Watford landed a late transfer window coup when they signed Portugal Under-19 star Domingos Quina from West Ham on Thursday.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has moved to Vicarage Road on a four-year deal from the London Stadium.

The former Benfica and Chelsea academy player made four senior appearances for the Hammers last season, all in the cups, after making his first-team debut in July 2016 against Domzale in the Europa League.

Quina played a key role as Portugal won last month's Under-19 European Championships, two years after he was part of his country's victorious European Under-17 Championship squad.
