Villa look to Watford midfielder
Watford are believed to be waiting on a loan bid from Aston Villa for Nathaniel Chalobah.
The midfielder joined the Hornets in the summer of 2017 after finding opportunities limited at boyhood club Chelsea.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Chalobah had been sent out on loan to six different clubs and it was his maiden spell at Vicarage Road in 2012-13 where he arguably played his best football.
The permanent move to Hertfordshire worked initially before the 24-year-old's progress was hindered by a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the majority of last season.
Despite being back to full fitness, the form of Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure has curtailed his hopes of a regular starting role this time around.
Chalobah has made just 10 appearances this term while the 24-year-old has not started in the Premier League since early December.
Villa boss Dean Smith is thought to be keen on bolstering his midfield ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline and the one-cap England international could be open to dropping down a level to get some more minutes under his belt.
Jack Ogalbe has been working for the team since his student days, having enjoyed a successful placement. He is an avid West Ham fan but also enjoys writing on rugby union, golf, tennis and cycling.
