Watford defender set for loan move

11th July 2019, 17:06 by Gareth Freeman

Watford defender Marc Navarro is on the verge of joining Spanish outfit Leganes on loan.

Navarro joined the Hornets on a five-year deal from Espanyol last summer but failed to make an impact last season and managed just two Premier League appearances.

Leganes have been tracking Navarro for some time and reports earlier this week claimed Watford boss Javi Gracia had given the green light for the transfer to go ahead, and it now looks as if a deal has been reached.

The 24-year-old full-back is now seemingly on the verge of joining the Spanish club on loan for the 2019/20 season, with the deal expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

It remains to be seen as to whether or not the loan deal will include either an option or an obligation to buy.
