Benfica teenager set to join Hammers
West Ham are reportedly closing in on the signing of Portugal Under-19 talent Mesaque Dju from Benfica.
Sources in Portugal understand the 19-year-old is on his way to London to complete the move to the Hammers before the transfer window closes this week.
Dju was a key player in the Portugal Under-19 side that won the European Championship in Finland last year - where he played alongside then West Ham starlet Domingos Quina, who left to join Watford.
He has two-and-a-half-years left on his Benfica contract so a fee should be involved, although reports in Portugal suggest the deal could include a hefty sell-on clause.
Dju will link up with the West Ham Under-23 squad and is not expected to challenge for a first-team place this season.
