Hammers duo set to miss Saints' trip
West Ham are set to be without both Fabian Balbuena and Javier Hernandez for Thursday's trip to St Mary's to face Southampton.
Defender Balbuena suffered a knee injury against Watford on Saturday and striker Hernandez came off with back and hamstring problems.
They join Lucas Perez, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko, Manuel Lanzini, Ryan Fredericks, Carlos Sanchez and Winston Reid on the sidelines.
However, Marko Arnautovic could boost the Hammers by making an earlier than expected return from a hamstring injury to be involved in the squad on Thursday evening.
The Hammers' four-match winning run came to an abrupt halt when they lost 2-0 to Watford at the London Stadium and midfielder Robert Snodgrass is relishing playing over Christmas as the side look to bounce back against a resurgent Saints.
He said: "You’re used to playing matches throughout the Christmas period so for us it doesn't feel weird.
"We're working on Christmas Day and we've always done it.
"As a player you want to play games, you want to be involved and kick on.
"We keep on trying to knock the door down and trying to create chances. If most weeks we take those chances, we’ll pick up more points."
