Hammers scouts keeping tabs on Kouame
West Ham will watch Ivory Coast Under-23 striker Christian Kouame again on Sunday when Genoa face Sampdoria in Serie A.
Reports in Italy claim the Hammers will send a scout to the Derby della Lanterna to assess the 21-year-old, who has scored four goals and assisted seven others for Genoa this term.
Calciomercato state West Ham are trying to conclude a deal for Roma striker Edin Dzeko that would reunite the Bosnian striker with his former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
But the Hammers are also keen on Kouame, whom they have scouted previously, and will make another check on him this weekend.
West Ham are set to overhaul their strikeforce this summer with Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and the out-of-contract Andy Carroll all potentially set to leave the London Stadium.
Reports in Italy claim the Premier League club are apparently 'enthralled' with Kouame but it remains to be seen whether West Ham will pay the £23million demanded by Genoa president Enrico Preziosi.
