Hammers striker itching to play
Javier Hernandez is hoping to get the nod to start for West Ham against his former club Manchester United on Saturday.
'Chicarito' was substituted at half-time in Monday's defeat to Chelsea but he will be desperate to start away to former club Manchester United this weekend.
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has options up front and Hernandez will have to wait to see if he features but Andy Carroll is one striker not pushing for a start as he will not play again this season and may well have played his last game for the club.
Carroll, who last featured for the Irons in the defeat at Manchester City on February 27, has had ankle surgery, which will rule him out for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Samir Nasri will be checked after picking up a calf injury while warming up at half-time against Chelsea.
West Ham are also without Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko but Michail Antonio should be available. The Hammers have picked up just two points at Old Trafford in their last 10 visits, stretching back to May 2007.
