Hammers told Dzeko price
West Ham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Edin Dzeko from Roma in the summer transfer window.
The 33-year-old has scored 86 goals in 171 appearances during his four years in Italy, having joined the Giallorossi from Manchester City on an initial loan in August 2015, before making the deal permanent the following summer.
Rumours of a return to England circulated during the January transfer window and West Ham have been tracking progress since last summer.
Reports at the start of the month suggested they had baulked at his asking price but with Dzeko unlikely to sign fresh terms on his contract that runs out in 2020, Roma have climbed down from their initial figure and contacted the hierarchy at the London Stadium.
The Italian outfit see West Ham as potential suitors, especially with the added carrot of allowing the Bosnian to reunite with Manuel Pellegrini.
Dzeko scored 32 goals in 80 matches under Pellegrini, helping the Citizens win the 2013-14 season and the Chilean could be open to the move as he looks to revamp his attack in the summer.
