January window good for West Ham - Pellegrini
Boss Manuel Pellegrini says he is pleased with West Ham's work in January despite only bringing in two new signings.
Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri arrived on a free transfer until the end of the season while Portugal Under-20 forward Mesaque Dju also joined on a free from Benfica.
The Hammers were linked with numerous players towards the end of the window, with the likes of Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi, who joined Crystal Palace on loan, and Celta Vigo forward Maxi Gomez said to be high on the wanted list.
However, West Ham failed to add them although Pellegrini is not worried because he is confident his current crop of players can finish the season strongly.
"I was not disappointed," he said at Friday's press conference. "The media had a lot of interest in bringing players here to West Ham. We have a squad, we have injuries, but we will work with this squad until the end of the season. We are not frustrated.
"The only interest was that, if we sold a player, but we have a squad which can play the last 14 players of the season. I am not frustrated because all the names came from the media. The only player we were interested in was Gary Medel because we were told he was free, but he was not free."
