Noble reveals squad meeting

6th February 2019, 13:38 by James Mason

Captain Mark Noble says a discussion involving the entire West Ham squad has helped the club move on from a dismal January.

After picking up five wins from seven Premier League matches in December, the Hammers tasted success just once in the league in January while they were also knocked out of the FA Cup by League One outfit AFC Wimbledon.

West Ham produced a better performance in Monday's 1-1 draw at home to table-toppers Liverpool and the hosts arguably should have won the match, having passed up several opportunities.

Although that draw extended the winless run to four matches, there were enough positive for Manuel Pellegrini to take out of the game and he will be hoping to clinch all three points at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Skipper Noble has revealed the team had a chat recently to discuss their January blues and how they were going to turn things around.

He told the club's official website: "We spoke about January in house, together, and said, look, the (transfer) window has closed now. To be honest, everyone has been great and is fully on board."
