Rice wanted by Spanish giants - Minto
West Ham's Declan Rice is a top target for Real Madrid this summer, according to former Hammer Scott Minto.
The midfielder has established himself as a key figure for club and country this season and he could be set to take the next step in his career this summer.
Reports claim Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham are all keen on the 20-year-old, but a move abroad could potentially be on the cards.
Minto, who made 51 appearances for West Ham between 1999 and 2003, says Real Madrid are serious contenders for his signature.
He claims the La Liga giants have already been in contact with Rice's family as they look to force their way to the front of the queue.
Minto told Stadium Astro: "I'm hearing that even Real Madrid are knocking on the door and speaking to his family. That's what I'm hearing.
When pressed on where he had heard this information, Minto added: "I'm not going to say. But it's a reliable source.
"West Ham I'm sure know about the potential he has. Man United will be knocking on the door. The big boys of the Premier League and world football will be saying this is a young lad at a club that could sell for the right price."
"He could become one of the stars in that particular position."
