United display can inspire Hammers - Fabianski
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski says West Ham have to maintain the standards they set at Man Utd last time out when Leicester City visit.
The Hammers entertain the Foxes on Saturday with both sides eventually hoping to emerge as the 'best of the rest' in the Premier League this season by finishing seventh.
West Ham have it all to do to achieve a seventh-placed finish as they sit 11th, five points behind the Foxes, who are currently seventh.
Fabianski admits results must improve after three straight defeats but he hopes the Hammers show the same sort of level of performance they put in at Old Trafford last weekend, when they could count themselves unlucky to lose 2-1.
He said on the club's website: "We want to continue to play like that in the next games. We want to show that we are a team that is still progressing and hopefully we'll be able to do it.
"We lost three games in a row which is not nice, and now we have a home game which is going to be special. Hopefully for us we'll perform in the way we did at Manchester United. Hopefully we'll get the result."
Overall, the Hammers have been inconsistent under Manuel Pellegrini this season and Fabianski readily admits there is plenty of room for improvement at the London Stadium.
He added: "There are always some little spells during the seasons, and I think it's happened this season as well, that we're not happy with, like the start of the season and the little spell we're having now.
"We have to be honest with ourselves. There's still room to improve."
