Abraham's Wolves switch unlikely to go through
Wolves are set to be disappointed in their pursuit of Tammy Abraham as the Chelsea loanee seems likely to stay with Aston Villa.
It looked like Wolves were close to agreeing a deal at the weekend to sign the forward on loan for the rest of the season, but now widespread reports say he has turned down the chance to move to Molinuex and will stay at Villa Park instead.
It is thought the confusion over whether or not the 21-year-old can play for another club this season is behind Abraham's reluctance to move, as things stand, as the England Under-21 international has featured for Chelsea Under-23s and in the Community Shield earlier this season before joining Villa.
Wolves may yet get clarification from FIFA over Abraham's situation and, if he is cleared to make another loan move, the Premier League club could yet try and resurrect the deal, but it appears he is more likely to stay with their West Midlands rivals in the Championship for the second half of the season.
Abraham has been a big hit at Villa, scoring 16 goals so far this term, and Chelsea are not interested in selling him permanently this month as they believe he could yet have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
