Benfica star Felix on Wolves radar
Wolves have been linked with an ambitious move for Benfica starlet Joao Felix but they will face competition from across Europe.
Felix has enjoyed an exceptional breakthrough campaign in Lisbon with nine goals in 16 appearances in Portugal's top flight this term.
The 19-year-old has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, both Manchester clubs and Juventus in recent weeks but Wolves have now emerged as contenders to land the Portugal U21 international.
Felix has a mammoth buyout clause of around £105million in his deal at Benfica but Wolves hope their connections with agent Jorge Mendes can facilitate the deal, and help them to negotiate a lower price.
Mendes helped Wolves to sign Ruben Neves from Porto two years ago, while the Molineux club could include a hefty sell-on clause to convince Benfica to lower their asking price for the attacking playmaker.
