Bonatini backs Nuno to succeed

11th July 2018, 15:26 by Tom McGarry

Wolves forward Leo Bonatni has 'total faith' that boss Nuno Espirito Santo is the right man to help the club succeed in the top-flight.

Brazilian forward Bonatini played a major role in Wolves' promotion back to the top-flight during a loan spell last season and he has since joined the club permanently.

Former Valencia boss Nuno was the man that masterminded Wolves' Championship-winning campaign and he penned a new contract to remain with the club earlier this week.

Bonatini believes it is great news that Nuno has committed his future to Wolves, as the entire squad believe he is the right man to help them succeed in the top-flight.

"Nuno knows exactly what to do, he's prepared everything and knows exactly how the other teams will play," Bonatini told the Express & Star.

"I have total faith in Nuno. Last season he showed to everyone that he deserves to be here, he knows what to do.

"We have 100 per cent confidence in him. He knows every player, how everyone will play, you have to have faith in him and in each other as well."

Wolves kicked off their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 victory over Basel on Tuesday and Bonatini believes the squad is well equipped to not only survive in the Premier League but also make their mark on the division.

He added: "We have a very good team, good players to help us during the season so we are happy and we're preparing."
