Mendes tipped to help get Brazilian to Wolves

11th July 2019, 14:08 by Simon Barlow

Wolves are being linked with a move for Napoli's Brazilian striker Carlos Vinicius, who was loaned out to Monaco and Rio Ave last term.

Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno claims Wolves could take the unwanted 24-year-old off Napoli's hands in a deal worth £20million.

The Serie A club are currently in talks to sign James Rodriguez, a Jorge Mendes client, from Real Madrid and it appears as though Mendes could use his influence at Molineux to create space for the Colombian at the San Paolo.

Vinicius was signed by Napoli last year but was immediately loaned out to Rio Ave - a club that the Portuguese super-agent has worked with for a long time.

He returned to Naples after scoring eight goals in 14 matches during the first half of the campaign and was then loaned out to Monaco to help in their relegation battle, scoring twice in 15 games.
