Nuno feels China trip a 'success'
Nuno Espirito Santo feels the Far East trip has been win-win for Wolves as they prepare to face Manchester City.
The Molineux outfit beat Newcastle United 4-0 in the Premier League Asia Trophy in China on Wednesday and will take on City in the 'final' on Saturday.
Work on the pitch has been important with next week's Europa League qualifying clash against Crusaders on the horizon, but the boss has also hailed the way his men have embraced their surroundings.
"It's definitely been a success," he told the Express and Star. "We're delighted to be here and the players are being very patient and cooperative.
"It's difficult, the weather and all these things, but we're really happy. All the events made by the club, the way they appreciate us, the way people share their happiness, it's good."
Taking on City in sweltering conditions will have little bearing on what happens during a 38-game Premier League campaign played in a much cooler climate but Nuno hopes that it can sharpen up his men for the beginning of their European journey.
"It's a final but it's a preparation game, we're inside the preparation for the season," he added. "Our interpretation is to compete and prepare ourselves for what's coming next week.
"It's a big opponent but it's a game. It's going to be tough and very difficult for both teams, the weather conditions are very difficult to play all the game."
