Pizzi linked as PSG reports ignored by Nuno

14th September 2018, 15:11 by Simon Barlow

Nuno Espirito Santo is unsurprised by Paris Saint-Germain's reported interest in Ruben Neves as Wolves are linked to Benfica ace Pizzi.

The French champions were said to be weighing up a January move Wolves' Portuguese star this week and the Molineux manager is not shocked to hear of it.

"It’s not a surprise because there is always speculation," Nuno said.

"When our players play good they will be linked with other teams every week. But we ignore that, it does not affect us. The players know the reality – there are no transfers now, so there is no point in talking about it."

Meanwhile, reports in Portugal claim that Wolves are monitoring Pizzi's situation in Lisbon closely and will consider making an offer for the 28-year-old in the next transfer window.

He has made 183 appearances for Benfica since joining them from Braga in 2012, scoring 37 goals.
