Wolves defender ready for Europa League test
Wolves defender Ryan Bennett says the players will be ready for their opening Europa League qualifier next Thursday.
The Molineux club managed a 4-0 win over Newcastle in Nanjing, China, on Wednesday to secure a place in the Premier League Asia Trophy final.
Wolves will face treble winners Manchester City in the final on Saturday before their season begins with Europa League qualifying.
Nuno Espirito Santo's men will take on either Northern Ireland's Crusaders or B36 Torshavn in their first qualifier, with Crusaders holding a 2-0 lead ahead of the second leg of their tie, and Bennett says the squad are fully focused on reaching the Europa League group stages.
"Being out here [in China] is part of our preparation," he told the Express & Star. "We've got a week left, we're putting in our patterns of play, the boys who aren't here will settle straight back in.
"We worked so hard to get to the Europa and it's our reward. We'll be ready."
Wolves will be at home in the first leg of their Europa League second qualifying round tie on July 25, with the second leg to come on August 1.
