Wolves forward seals Portugal move

24th January 2019, 10:30 by Aidan Perkins

Wolves forward Benny Ashley-Seal has agreed a new deal at Molineux before then heading out on loan to Portuguese side FC Famalicao.

The 20-year-old, who is the Under-23's top goalscorer with 11 goals in Premier League 2 this season, has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal but heads straight out on loan for the rest of the campaign.

He joins Portuguese second-tier outfit Famalicao, who are second in the table, where Wolves say "as part of enhancing Ashley-Seal’s development" he will "experience playing competitive senior football in a different environment".

Benny-Seal has made two senior appearances this term, both in the Carabao Cup, and is rated highly by the Wolves backroom staff.

Meanwhile, 20-year-old winger Sherwin Seedorf has joined third-tier Spanish side FC Jumilla on loan until the end of the season after impressing during a stint at Bradford City in League One in the first half of the campaign.
