Wolves looking to wrap up Jonny deal

28th January 2019, 11:41 by Bobbie Jackson

Reports claim Wolves are confident of signing Atletico Madrid loanee Jonny Castro on a permanent deal before Thursday.

The West Midlands outfit beat a number of rivals to bring in Jonny on a season-long loan deal over the summer.

He has proven to be a huge asset to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, having made 21 appearances across all competitions, and the Portuguese is keen to secure his services long-term.

Atletico boss Diego Simeone was understood to be keen on taking Jonny back to the Wanda Metropolitano next term, however, financial restrictions have changed the situation.

Reports claim that talks are ongoing between the two clubs as they look to agree on a fee prior to Thursday’s deadline.
