Wolves told to forget Jonny move

25th January 2019, 11:07 by Gareth Freeman

Atletico Madrid will not allow Jonny to join Wolves on a permanent basis when his loan stay expires in the summer.

Atleti signed the 24-year-old on a six-year deal from La Liga rivals Celta Vigo in July and he was immediately sent out on loan to Wolves for the season.

Jonny has been a huge success in the Premier League with the newly-promoted club with 19 Premier League starts so far, and it has been suggested Wolves are keen to land the full-back on a permanent deal.

However, Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim any approach from Molineux will be rejected by Los Colchoneros as their manager Diego Simeone intends to integrate Jonny into his squad next season.
