Wolves utility star on why he signed new deal

13th March 2019, 11:54 by Nick Harris

Romain Saiss says extending his deal at Wolves was an obvious thing to do after penning a new deal in February.

The 28-year-old joined the club from Angers back in 2016, signing a four year deal at the time, but last month he extended that contract after two good seasons.

The Morocco international was one of the key players in the side that got promoted and, having shone in the Premier League, he has explained why he put pen to paper on fresh terms.

He said: "I think Wolves is the right place to continue my career. I arrived here with the club’s project, which was to go up to the Premier League.

"We achieved it. Now, I want to be part of the current project, which is to sustain the club in the Premier League. That’s why I came too.

"So, it was obvious to me to extend my contract here."
