Brown banned for two games
Half-back Kevin Brown has been handed a two-match ban for a headbutt in Salford's defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
The Red Devils reached the Grand Final last season but have made a poor start to 2020, winning just one of their three outings so far, and they have now been hit with the news that Brown won't be available for two matches.
Brown has been banned after aiming a headbutt at Giants centre Jordan Turner when making a tackle in Friday's 12-10 defeat at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Referee James Child brandished a yellow card but the RFL have handed out a more severe punishment after further inspection.
The 35-year-old apologised after the game, claiming "there was no intention to hit his face", but the governing body have taken action.
He will miss the home Super League encounters with Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity.
