Donaldson happy with life at Headingley
Trialist James Donaldson admits he is loving life at the club after making his first appearance in the friendly with Wakefield.
New Leeds coach David Furner brought Donaldson in last month after he was released by Hull KR.
The former Bradford Bulls forward has been training with Leeds for the last few weeks and he earned special praise after the Boxing Day win over Trinity.
Donaldson at 27 still has his prime years ahead of him and he is now hoping to secure a long-term contract at the club.
He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "It is what you dream of, playing against Leeds, but playing for them is on a totally different level. I have loved my training with the boys and hopefully it will continue.
"I am learning new things. I think my game might change here under Dave and there’s no better people you’d want to learn off than Dave, Kev and Jimmy [Lowes, Rhinos’ assistant-coach] to add different things to my game. Hopefully I can only get better from here."
