Edwards no nearer to Wigan decision
Wigan Warriors are still waiting to hear whether Shaun Edwards will become their new coach as a decision has yet to be made.
Edwards looked on course to take charge from 2020, with Adrian Lam holding the fort during 2019, but the move was thrown into doubt when he revealed he had not signed a contract.
Warriors chairman Ian Lenagan then admitted the agreement between the two parties was only verbal, and he would not hold Edwards to it if he had a change of heart.
Wigan have given the 52-year-old time to make a final decision, but one has yet to be made as Edwards weighs up all his options.
"I've not made my mind up about anything yet, to be honest," he told reporters. "Obviously it's been a very busy time with the Six Nations. I haven't made my mind where I'm going yet."
There has been talk of former player Trent Barrett returning as coach, should Edwards not take up the position, but such reports are said to be wide of the mark.
