England star wants Super League move - reports
According to reports, England star Gareth Widdop wants to come to the Super League and is looking for a move away from the NRL.
Despite being capped 27 times by England Widdop has never played Super League or even any sort of professional Rugby League in the UK as he moved to Australia at the age of 16.
He went from Melbourne Storm to St George Illawarra Dragons in 2014 and has been a standout player there.
Widdop's wages would mean he would have to be signed as a marquee player and Wigan Warriors are likely to be the early favourites to land him.
Wigan's new coach Adrian Lam last week stated that he has not finished building his new squad at the champions and is still after a half-back, with big names still to arrive.
