Furner impressed with Rhinos' pre-season
Leeds Rhinos coach Dave Furner feels pre-season is going well ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Wakefield.
Furner is the man who will take the Rhinos into their 2019 campaign and try to lift them from last season’s nightmare.
He has been working with his charges over the past few weeks and while happy with what he has seen, he admits there is much work still to be done.
"Our pre-season training has gone well, with the boys showing dedication and commitment to make the most of this period of the year," he told the club's website.
"It has been good to see how the new players have integrated into the group. There is still lots that we are working on ahead of the start of the season, but we are definitely moving in the right direction."
The Australian tactician will get his first taste of life in the Rhinos’ dugout when his men take on Trinity at Headingley in the Wetherby Whaler Festive Challenge on December 26.
"We have a very strong side out and it will be good to see how they go," Furner added.
