Hull FC sweat on injured star
Jake Connor will have a scan later today after suffering a knee injury in the 28-8 victory over Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC have said
Connor, who was playing at full-back, picked up the injury just before half-time at the John Smith's Stadium, and although he re-emerged for the second half he did not last long.
Josh Griffin replaced him after just a minute and Hull FC coach Lee Radford says he will now need a scan to discover the full extent of the damage.
"Jake was a knee," Radford said after the game. "We pushed it at half-time and tried as long as we could but we just couldn't get there so we made the decision at half-time to put Griffin there and this is no disrespect to Griff but he isn't a ball playing full-back.
"That tells you how we wanted to play, we wanted to be a little bit more direct and straighten us up and he did that definitely.
"Jake will have a scan tomorrow so hopefully we'll know a bit more tomorrow."
