Hull KR's Tomkins handed two-match ban
Hull KR captain Joel Tomkins has been suspended for two matches for questioning the integrity of a match official.
The Grade D charge typically carriers a three to five-match suspension but as Tomkins pleaded guilty to the charge against him, resulting from an incident inHull KR's defeat to Salford Red Devils last month, he has been handed a reduced sanction.
Tomkins has already served one match of his suspension after sitting out the Robins' loss to Castleford on Friday and will complete his ban when Hull KR head to Wakefield Trinity on Sunday.
The 31-year-old was also fined £500 for protesting a decision to disallow a try and will be able to make his return when Hull KR host Catalans Dragons on Sunday March 17.
