Hurrell missing for Rhinos
Leeds Rhinos new boy Konrad Hurrell has withdrawn from the squad that will face Wakefield Trinity on Boxing Day.
The Tonga international looked set to make his Rhinos debut after being named in the initial 21-man squad on Friday, but is not included in the matchday 19.
Rhinos officials have played down the severity of the problem, describing it as a 'slight quad injury', but they are not willing to take any risks during pre-season.
Rhinos are also missing Trent Merrin, who has a hip injury, while Callum McLelland has not been selected after playing for England in this month’s academy Test series.
It means stand-off Tui Lolohea will be the only new signing involved on Wednesday.
For Trinity, new signings Danny Brough, Craig Kopczak and George King are set to feature along with young winger Lee Kershaw.
However England international Tom Johnstone will not be risked after missing the start of pre-season due to Test duty.
