Kelly doubt for Hull
Hull coach Lee Radford has not yet ruled out Albert Kelly from the Super League season opener against Hull KR despite an injury.
The new Betfred Super League season gets underway in a week's time and first up for the Black and Whites is a derby clash with KR at Craven Park.
It is looking increasingly likely that former Hull KR fans 'favourite Kelly will not feature against his former club because of a shoulder injury that is worse than first feared, but Radford has not ruled him out just yet.
“He has hurt his shoulder and there is a little bit of swelling and inflammation in the AC joint,” Radford told Hull Live.
“We are going to see how that goes and we are trying to get him back on the field as quickly as possible. We are stronger when he’s on the field.
“We will see how we go. We’re not putting a timeline on it.
"The physios are doing their bit to try and get him back. I know he’s going to work as hard as he can to return quickly. We don’t have a bad replacement in Jake Connor.”
