Lam delivers update on O'Loughlin
Wigan Warriors coach Adrian Lam has revealed that captain Sean O'Loughlin could be out of action for up to four weeks.
Former England international O'Loughlin suffered an injury to his eye on his 400th Super League appearance against Toronto Wolfpack last week.
The 37-year-old was struck by the flailing arm of Wolfpack centre Hakim Miloudi, who was sin-binned for his involvement in the incident and later apologised to O'Loughlin.
Lam was concerned for his captain's well-being after the match and has now provided an update on his condition.
"There was a fair bit of bleeding behind the eye and that can be a dangerous one," Lam said at his press conference ahead of Sunday's Super League clash with Hull FC at the DW Stadium.
"He's starting to get some vision back in it now. He could be out for one to four weeks really. We'll just wait and see with that one really."
If O'Loughlin is unavailable for the best part of a month, not only will he miss Sunday's visit of the Airlie Birds, he could also sit out the upcoming clashes with Huddersfield Giants, Hull KR and Salford Red Devils.
