Manfredi makes fitness pledge
Wigan Warriors star Dom Manfredi has been left "devastated" by his latest injury setback but says he has no plans to quit the game.
The winger has only just returned to action following a two-year injury lay off but has been ruled out for the rest of this season after suffering an ACL injury.
"I'm devastated although I'm lucky to have such good family, friends and club backing me," he revealed.
Manfedi admitted he came close to calling it a day as he battled back from his second successive knee operation last year, but says there are no such thoughts this time around.
The Warriors star says he has another long road ahead of him, but has vowed to come back even stronger.
"My biggest challenge yet is in front of me and I'm going to put everything into getting back to the player I can be," he added. "I want to apologise to Wigan Warriors and the fans that I can't play any further part in this season."
