McCarthy-Scarsbrook commits his future to St Helens
St Helens prop forward Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook has signed a new deal at the club which will see him stay put until 2020.
The fans' favourite will now stay at Langtree Park for the next two seasons and his latest deal will take him into his 10th campaign with the club.
St Helens snapped McCarthy-Scarsbrook up in 2011 from Harlequins and he has since gone on to make 247 appearances for the Merseyside outfit.
McCarthy-Scarsbrook has scored 49 tries during that time and admits it was an easy decision to sign on again.
He told the club's official website: "To spend 10 years at this club will be something special. It is a privilege to have been here for so long and an honour considering I am not from the area.
"I am really looking forward to hopefully celebrating a testimonial here and, more importantly, winning silverware."
